Without doubt this was the wettest start of our yearly trips…Gary and I drove through the Rain from Joliet all the way to Lexington Kentucky…The rest of the 6-Days was great…The Next Stop was Nashville then Memphis - St-Louis and Finally Home.

This was a very exciting trip to the Tail Of The Dragon… We (Gary KA8MKZ) (Me WA9IL) and (Bill no call) drove our Bikes over 1400 Miles through several cities and states. Through a Hale storm that put the bikes almost on their sides and Hot Hot Sun
By the time we got to the Tail it was 9:30 at night, so we did the tail in complete darkness, with only our Head Lights to guide us. It was the only way out after the CHEROHHALA SKYWAY… Our goal was to reach DEALS GAP. Well by the time we got there, it was closed. We re-routed our way home several times, but the rain clouds seemed to develop just for us… In all we had a great time…
